Consul General called on Mr. Wang Zhi Xiong, Chairman of Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce (SFIC) today and discussed ways and means to further deepen economic linkages between Indian and Shanghai companies. Consul General proposed organizing a Business Seminar jointly with SFIC in the second half of 2016 to attract investments from Chinese companies in sectors like Renewable Energies, Solar Panels, Roads, Smart Cities, Infrastructure Development, Urban Transportation and Power Sector. Consul General also provided Chairman Mr. Wang Zhi Xiong a detailed list of upcoming investment opportunities in India and requested his facilitation in bringing this to the attention of interested companies from Shanghai. Chairman Mr. Wang Zhi Xiong welcomed both the proposals and assured fullest cooperation of SFIC in its implementation.
