Consul General inaugurated the Indian Pavilion at the ongoing Intertextile Shanghai on 16th March. The Indian delegation to Intertextile Shanghai was led by TEXPROCIL’s Executive Director Mr. Siddhartha Rajagopal who received Consul General. More than 45 exhibitors from India participated in this edition of “Yarn Expo & Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics” displaying all types of Cotton Yarn and Fabrics for different end use, including knitting, weaving, technical textiles, Apparel & Functional Fabrics.  During the interaction with Indian companies the Indian delegation shared their concerns on the duty structure imposed by Chinese authorities on Indian fabrics which was working to their disadvantage.  Consul General assured them of taking it up through appropriate channels and encouraged them to organize an India specific event at the next Intertextile Shanghai which would be held in October 2016.
