110 Indian companies participate under the Indian Pavilion at 16th China Interdye – 2016 ( 13 April 2016)

A delegation of 110 Indian companies under the banner of Chemexcil participated at the 16th China International Dye Industry, Pigments and Textile Chemicals Exhibition (China Interdye 2016) today.

2. The Indian pavilion (the largest at the venue) was inaugurated today by Consul General Prakash Gupta, along with Chemexcil Chairman Dr. B.R. Gaikwad and local Chinese dignitaries (including President of the Organizing Committee).

3. It may be noted that dyes and intermediates along with organic and inorganic chemical are key components of India’s export basket to China and most of the Indian participants were already selling into the Chinese market. All Indian participants were highly appreciative of the platform provided by China Interdye 2016 as it helped them to extend their sales not only in China but also in Europe and America. Most of the participants were either from Ahmedabad or Mumbai, where the chemical and dye industry India, is mostly anchored.

4. Separately in the evening a welcome reception was organized by Chemexcil which also featured participation by several Chinese importers and organizers of China Interdye 2016. Some select pictures of the Indian pavilion are enclosed. It may be noted that in terms of overall presentation the Indian pavilion, Interdye 2016 was one of the most well showcased Indian pavilion to have been put on display in Shanghai.

5. It is proposed that in consultation with Chemexcil, a sector specific business event would also be organized on the sidelines on the next Interdye 2017, so as to better leverage export potential of these products in Eastern China.
