Consul General visited the Australian official residence in Shanghai on 25 April morning to participate in the 101st anniversary commemoration of the ANZAC Day.  During the commemoration ceremony, Consuls General from France, UK, New Zealand, Australia and Canada along with several other members of the diplomatic corps also joined in to pay tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the battle of Gallipoli. Consul General placed a wreath in honour of the soldiers who had lost their lives.  It may be noted that nearly 1300 Indian soldiers (under the banner of then British Army) had also lost their lives at the battle of Gallipoli  during the 1st World War.
