The Second Meeting of BRICS Industry Ministers held in Hangzhou July 29-30,2017

         The 2nd Meeting of BRICS Industry Ministers was held in Hangzhou from 29-30 July. 

  1. Additional Secretary from DIPP Mr Atul Chaturvedi along with officials from CGI Shanghai participated in the meetings.  
  1. Mr Miao Wei, Minister of Industry and Communications, China presided over the meetings. The other delegations were represented by Mr Igor Nogueira Calvet, Secretary of Industry, Minister of Industry, Trade and Services (Brazil), Mr Kalamanov Georgy Vladimirovich, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade (Russia), Mr Robert Haydn Davies, Minister of Trade and Industry  (South Africa) and Mr Li Yong Director General of UNIDO.  
  1. The Ministers adopted the Hangzhou declaration at the conclusion of the meeting. Copy of the same is placed below.
