India participated in Intertextile 2010 & Techtextil 2010 in Shanghai

 

India participated in the 16th Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Fair (Intertextile 2010), in Shanghai from 19-22 October 2010. The Fair is considered as one most important & largest textile trade fairs in the world. The Exhibition had more than 2500 exhibitors from 20 countries.

India’s participation with 19 companies was one of the biggest in the international section. Indian Silk Export Promotion Council (ISEPC) made its debut in this Fair with 6 participating companies. Prominent companies like Grasim Industries- Birla Cellulose & Prafful Sarees also participated in the Fair.

Indian companies received very good response at the Fair. More than 600 visitors visited the ISEPC stalls alone, generating a large number of business enquiries and sales of more than US$ 250000 for them. 

Two Indian companies participated in International Trade Fair for Technical Textile and Non wovens ‘Cinte Techtexil China 2010’ (Techtextil 2010), which was held at the same venue.
