India-China Art Exhibition in Shanghai

 

Pearl Lam Fine Art Gallery in Shanghai is presenting “Window in the Wall: India and China: Imaginary Conversations” - an exhibition of contemporary art from September 9, 2011 to November 9, 2011 at their gallery at No. 181, Middle Jiangxi Road, Shanghai 200002. The opening ceremony of the exhibition will be held on September 8, 2011 from 1700 hrs to 2000 hrs.

The exhibition is an unique combination of photography, video, sculpture and paintings by 15 contemporary Indian and Chinese artists. The exhibition is curated by Ms. Gayatri Sinha, an art critic and curator based in New Delhi and Prof. Gao Minglu, a curator, critic and Professor in the University of Pittsburg, USA. Art works of a total of 8 Indian artists (Abir Karmakar, Gigi Scaria, Lavanya Mani,Manjunath Kamath, Mithu Sen, Ranbir Kaleka, Sharmila Samant, T. Venkanna) will be exhibited during the exhibition.
