Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi visited Shanghai on 1010-11, 2011 as a part of his Beijing/Shanghai/Chengdu trip at the invitation of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee. He was accompanied by a 20-member business delegation comprising top business houses of India. During his visit, Shri Modi called on Mr. Yu Zhengsheng, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Committee. He also had a session with Indian students in the Shanghai region. He further attended a reception hosted by the Indian Association.
