Consul General of India Mr Naveen Srivastava inaugurated the India Pavilion at Automechanika Shanghai which was held from 11 - 14 December, 2012 at Shanghai New Exhibition Centre. Thirty two (32) Indian auto parts manufacturers participated in this India Pavilion.

Automechanika Shanghai is an international biennial exhibition for automotive parts / systems and attracts visitors from leading automotive sectors like agricultural vehicles, building site and material handling vehicles, industrial vehicles, heavy vehicles, two-wheelers apart from other companies engaged in repairs and maintenance of automobiles.

The main objective of the India Pavilion was to promote Brand India and provided a platform to Indian auto component companies to showcase their strengths and capabilities in both developed and emerging markets with demand for Indian products and technologies. The Show was also aimed to provide an opportunity to network, develop business contacts and new markets.

印度驻上海总领事馆为参加2012年12曰11日至14日在上海新国际博览中心举办的“上海汽车零部件展”的印度展区揭幕。共有32家印度汽车零部件生产厂商参加了本次展览。

上海汽车零部件展每两年举办一次，是一个全球性的汽车零配件和汽车系统展会，每次都能吸引了大量农用车辆，建筑车辆，材料搬运车辆，工程车辆，重型车辆，两轮车以及车辆保养维修等方面的著名汽车企业参加。

设立印度展区的主要目的是推广印度品牌，并为印度汽车零配件企业提供一个向有益于购买印度产品和印度科技的成熟汽车市场和新兴汽车市场展示自身实力的平台。另外，展台的设立也可以为印度企业同新的合作伙伴建立联系提供机会。
